HG Builders, Inc. is a family owned business. The company was named after Henry Gasbarre, who started his own business in 1958. Henry and his wife Yolanda came to America in 1948 from Italy, settled in Irondequoit where he started working as a mason contractor.

Today, the company is run by his three sons, John, Rick, Art, and his daughter Ann Marie. What’s unique about this family is the diversity of backgrounds and experiences each partner contributes and how well they all work together.

John is a licensed architect with a degree in Architecture from Syracuse University. Rick and Art have worked with their father since they were 13. Rick graduated from Alfred Tech with a degree in Building Construction, and both are accomplished tradesmen. Ann Marie graduated from Monroe Community College with an Associate Degree in Business Management. She is the office manager and represents the company’s real estate needs.

Henry taught all his children the value of hard work and honesty. When you have to work for everything you have, you appreciate the people who gave you the work and who work alongside you. The Gasbarres are proud of their family’s tradition and will always continue to uphold their family’s and company’s values.
